Rural Recovery launches Recovery in Motion™ transportation program

The purchase and support of the van was made possible by the tows of Great Barrington, Lenox, Monterey, Egremont and a Municipal Matching Grant from the RIZE Foundation’s Mosaic Opioid Recovery Partnership.

Rural Recovery is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Recovery in Motion™ program! Designed to break down distance barriers in our rural community, this program provides safe, substance-free rides to detox admissions, medical and MAR induction appointments, SCRC events, and daily programming at the center. Driven primarily by our trained Recovery Coaches,  Recovery in Motion™ isn't just a ride, it also provides a supportive, compassionate ear on the road.

Because we are based in Great Barrington and starting this vital initiative with one dedicated van, and a part-time driver, rides may at times be limited. To help us accommodate as many people as possible, rides must be scheduled at least 24-48 hours in advance. We will prioritize critical needs in the South Berkshire region, such as detox admissions and medical care. While our single van can't be everywhere at once, our team is committed to coordinating trips efficiently to serve as many riders as possible.

The purchase and support of the van was made possible by the towns of Great Barrington, Lenox, Monterey, and Egremont and a Municipal Matching Grant for the RIZE Foundation and the Mosaic Opioid Recovery Partnership.
