Peer-to-Peer Support

The South County Recovery Center provides valuable support for individuals who are seeking to begin or continue their recovery journey. Volunteers at the center offer Peer-to-Peer support by engaging in one-on-one conversations with visitors, creating a safe and understanding environment. The primary role of a Peer-to-Peer support volunteer is to be welcoming, empathetic, and an attentive listener, helping to foster trust and connection. By actively engaging with people, asking thoughtful questions, and making everyone feel genuinely welcomed, we succeed in being a consistent source of comfort and encouragement to anyone who wants or needs assistance on their path to recovery; whichever pathway that may be.
